Funding Forever Families

Welcome to It Takes a Village, Funding Forever Families!!

I am starting this blog as a means to help Adoptive Families and their fundraising efforts. As an Adoptive Family, we know all too well the expenses that accompany the adoption process. Whether you're adopting domestically or internationally, I would LOVE to help you fundraise for your Forever Family.

We were so blessed by the number of people who supported our journey through gifts and fundraisers to make our daughter's adoption possible. Because the support through fundraisers and donations were so vital to us, I am committed to helping other families who are working, saving, and fundraising to bring their child home. The adoption process alone can be very daunting, and I want to be able to give hope to those also navigating the financial battle.

I am able to personally offer my commissions earned from shows/parties of businesses that I am associated with: Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oils, Thirty-One Gifts, Norwex and Shaklee.
There may also be Guest posts with other incredible offers!

I am also hoping to post other fundraising ideas and links, as well as grants, adoption loans and anything else that might help you! I am open to comments and suggestions, as well as ideas you might have that I don't include in my lists!!

Not everyone is called to adopt. But it is my hope that I can offer just one way people can support a family who is called. I know first-hand how hard it is to work, save, and fundraise your way through an entire adoption (or three!). It can be very discouraging, and a small donation or fundraiser can make all the difference to keep you motivated and have faith in the journey to bring your beautiful child home.

Please contact me and let me help you get started on your fundraising journey.

With love,
Jes

  1. We are adopting a 7 y/o boy from Bulgaria's waiting children list. We have a completed homestudy and are currently awaiting the receipt of our written referral for our first travel dates to meet him. We would love any help possible with raising funds!

  2. If you can't afford to adopt a child, how can you afford to house, feed, clothe, and educate a child for 18+ years?

    1. Because housing, feeding, clothing, and educating a child does not happen in one or two or even three lump sums. A biological parent has to pay for all those things. An adoptive parent has to pay for all those things. But the adoption fees are on top of all of that - and something a biological parent might not have ever thought of.
